I am looking into getting a light saltwater reel for calico/Sandbass fishing. Which of the two do you recommend: torium Or tekota? I want them for plastics and some live bait. Or would a Calcuta 400 be a better choice??

go with the CT400 or 400s or the CTE 400.

CT400 as stated above- smallest Torium is a 16 and thats a bit of overkill for what you want to do- good luck on the bass!

Thanks for the inputs. I am pushing towards the Calcutta 400. But I just didn't want to buy the worng reel since I only fish salt about 2-3 times a year. Thanks again!

I would go with the new CT200B, 6:1 gear ratio and perfect for 15 pound line. That's all you need for the sandies and Calico's. Unless you want to fish 20# in the kelp then go with a 400.
