would the shimano torium 16 be ok for dines and such also what other types of baits is it good for. And is ok to use for yellow tail or even tuna

It will be fine to fish 16-30# line for everything you said. The only downfall is line capacity, so back it with some braided line and a small flourocarbon top shot

if you're fishing a party boat, back it with some braid and a longer topshot. if its a private boat just spool it all with 50 or 60lb braid and change your leader for each fishing application.

Ive seen people tossing iron with it. i dont see why you cant. personally i'd fish an Avet SX or MXj for iron.
