Aside from the place for the treble on the bottom, how do you rig a stinger on this bait. I would love to rig one on top, maybe with some braid and some paperclip pieces (although I don't want to throw off the balance). I am also reluctant to rig a thru-the-fin type stinger because I just don't want to ruin the bait.

I ask because I just had a great day on the water with them at LMV. Those bed-fish get hammered and I threw everything else on the boat at them with barely a sniff. EVERY fish on a bed, and many that were not on beds, responded to the bluegill. I did have to retire a bluegill though, and another has half a tail in the grave. I would like to have boated those fish.

Thanks in advance for any help. I will do some experimenting myself and see if I come up with anything. Incredible baits though, as close to magic as I have seen.

Heres my thoughts on it.

I have had big fish on beds and i figured like the moron i am that a stinger hook would get these fish big time. Well basically what ended up happening is , the males would crush this bait so freaking hard, they would hook themselfs and there was nothing i could do about it. So eventually i would have to crank em in, and then attempt to get the female. And of course the female lost all interest because when i caught the male she freaked out and left the area. Ive had this happen to alot of big fish ive found, so i just eventually removed it and still did fine.

just my thoughts on it :-)
