i no swimbaits are expensive x(. and being 13 with very little money doesnt help any. im trying to make my own swimbaits. what wood do you use? how do you make the plastis lips. and of what?

I would say to just use pine it is the cheapest and works well. Lips are amde of lexan you will have to cut them with a saw or snips then sand or file them to the shape you want.

Oh yeah don't use pine. It will bleed sap into the finish forever unless you go to great pains to seal it with epoxy or something. Even then its likely to bleed sap.

The softer the wood the more it'll float. The harder the wood the better it will suspend.
