I was told by a guy that he rigs his worms for dropshot turned on their side as opposed to the flat side down. He claims Aaron Martens does this. I did catch a fish this way. I think it makes the pour look weird as bloodline, etc are not level. Was this guy smoking a bit too much? Thoughts?

It really does not matter they will work both ways, although I will leave mine right side up. Just a preference thing :)

Don't think it would make much difference with that type of worm. I have done very well with reaper style worms dropshoted. I like that fluttering, dying fish action. I also routinely cast sidehooked large bighammer style swimbaits with football style jigheads to get this same type action. Have caught many nice LM and stripers this way. I don't understand why someone hasn't designed a swimbait with this design.
