I'm going to put some effort here to add some of the stuff that has been talked about on the forum in the past so it becomes static content that can be referenced easily. I think that as a group, we could build some really awesome content through the photo gallery like this. Ken A has some great pictures of his boat project in there already. If a few folks starting posting their little tweaks and tips like this, maybe we can build something really cool out of it for the future. Thanks for that post. I have a Cardiff 301 (leftie) and I like that reel a lot. The biggest weakness is the stock drag and I've been wondering about the alternatives. Is the mod washer brand Shimano or other brand?

I remember it's Shimano. How much is the drag washer and is there only one washer?

There is only one washer. I don't know how much it costs exactly, but I think it's around 8 dollars. the part is BNT 2137.

Thanks for the reply. Anyone tried the HT100 drag on Cardiff? How does it compare to the Cailas one?
