2589, Wader question

The set of waders I have are stocking foot. I got it online because I found it really cheap. The problem is that the stocking part is too big. I want to cut the toe part a little and stitch, tape, and put some of that rubber stuff for wader repair. The question is:

Has anyone ever done something like it?
What kind of tape do I use?
What are the chances of success?
Does everyone use stocking foot waders that are creased inside the shoes?
Am I expecting too perfect a fit?

Every aspect of this bass fishing stuff gets too technical with all these toys....er, gear. :)

Personally, I think you're setting yourself up for failure! Ask any of the guys here that have tried repairing waders in the past, it's almost pointless.

And we're only talking about pin holes x( I have Gortex breathable waders, but they still have neoprene booties. The booties are too big, but I just push my foot forward, and leave the excess towards the rear. That's the most comfortable way I've found.

Thanks for the info. I guess I will just get a pair of shoes that are bigger and wear thicker socks so I don't feel the "flap" of neoprene. :)
