Hey Guys,
I was contacted by a guy who wants me to build him some lures that resemble a bait fish they call a "Hitch".I guess they are a major food source in Clear lake. Can anyone tell me what color they are...or tell me where I can find a picture...A web search has turned up nothing..Thanks..Nathan

We went through the same thing. Apparently everyone has a different opinion about what one looks like and all the pictures we found looked different.

Basically I think they are sort carp looking (silvery bronze - dark on top, light on the bottom) with a faint stripe. The color of the stripe varies depending on who you talk to (blue, purple, green, brown...). We went with green because we already had this color and lots of guys who fish clear lake said it was pretty close to a hitch.

#30 - Green Hitch

Pictures rarely do lure color justice. The tail is not white and you can barely see the faint green stripe.
