Rob asked me to post some pics for you guys. I apologize for the poor pictures, but I worked the Bass-a-thon both days. Its been a long week and even longer weekend.

The 5 and 12 both have a top hook now. The tail kicks a little faster than the 8" swim that we are all used to. Smaller trout have to kick harder to swim :)

Here's a size comparison to the standard 8" Hudd. Everything has been scaled down.

This is the new Huddleston logo. The tail also has both 5 and 12 marked on it. I wonder if a 16 could come later? Neither of the baits I have are marked to show if its a 5 or 12. I'll have to do it myself I suppose.

You can see the detail is essentially the same. I'm sure paint will be better on production baits. Here are some more angles.

Well I'm ready to pass out from exhaustion. I'll take some better pics later from the top and bottom to show more profile.

Nice, thank you for the pics. I like the fact that the ROF is molded in to the bait, sometimes I can't tell the difference between my 12's and 16's.

The shaping of the head on that bait is beautiful. It has such a strong planter trout look to it. Like the head is a little bit too big, and the nose is a little pushed in, but that's how those little mangy trout look. Very cool.

I can't wait to get my hands on some of these. Anyone know when they will be made available to buy through Ken's site or elsewhere?

They will be available soon according to Dennis Miller. They had an issue with the stencil for the dots. That will set them back slightly I would assume. I imagine another month before they are available.

I wonder wht eric doesn't carry a wider selection of swimbaits, being that he is so close to casitas.
Occasionally he will get a huge supply of huds. Usually I just see a couple bbz, huds, a kong.
Maybe hell get more as the season approaches.
Iano...

Eric has a situation with Ken Huddleston where he only can sell the baits with the Hudd tail that are actually Hudds. I believe Ken has a patent on that tail. I consider Eric a good friend and he sells qualiy merchandise. What is it that you would like to see him carry? The tackle industry is like any other sales industry and their is a bit of junk out there. I have so many baits that were said to be the new hot bait that turned out to be crap. Personally my experience has taught me that most salesmen will say whatever they can to make a buck. Be thankful that Eric has integrity and if you talk to him he will steer you in the right direction. There have been times when I was going to buy something and he stopped me from spending money he did not think was necessary. Both Eric and Alec are pretty acomplished fishermen go talk to them and if there is something you want they will probably get it for you. There are plenty of Hudds in all ROF's hanging on the racks now and the Triple Trout will be available there soon too. The Hudd, BBZ-1 and Triple Trout are probably the three hottest swimbaits out thhere right now. Ebay has some good deals but I tell Eric what the Ebay price is and he always beats it. Good luck and tight lines.
Peace Rich

your right on with eric. He wont let me buy a rod off his rack if he feels its not the right one for what im looking for. I know him pretty well ive been shopping at the shop before he was there, when it was called Moores tackle. I remember he advised me to not buy one of his avets he had there. he hated them, he sent them all back...lol
anyway, i should now better as to why he doesnt carry every swimbait out there, hes not going to carry junk. as i browse the web and see all the swimbaits that are out there, i guess they all cant be good. Maybe they will be for me tho, i dont know.
It would be nice to see some tt, matts, slammers maybe some 3:16's.
for someone new to these baits like myself, it would be nice to see these baits up front. of all the guys that throw swimbaits at casitas, where are they getting there baits? online retailers, i guess. Some of these guys must be local.
i love to go to erics and spend my cash, i always get the local bite news from around the islands, and i always give him my reports about my recent trips.

hey rich you fish the salt??

I would if I had more friends that did. I have the equipment and recently met someone who has a boat, hopefully I will more soon.
