How important is the belly-rigged frog hook? How often are fish hooked on it? I'm fishing a ROF 5 in shallow water--like 3 to 6 feet. I currently have my Hudd rigged with Fish Chris' dorsal treble set up and a treble on the forehead, too. The Hudd is a new bait for me and I have only had followers so far... Thanks.

In the conditions you described I would not use any belly hook at all. The rigging you have now should be more than enough to hook and land a fish that commits to your Hudd.

It seems like no matter how many hooks you rig on your swimbait fish can still take a swipe and not get hooked, it's just going to happen sometimes no matter what.

Followers are a good sign, keep trying :-)

When I rigged the ROF 5 with the fish chris method, I found that it rolled onto it side. I switched to a smaller hook and it still did it. I put a hook on the bottom and it fixed the problem.

Hi, Mine has always run evenly even though my hook placement was off now and then. Maybe my bait was "off" and that placement fixed it?

When fishing a 5 lots of bites are going to come from below. If you are missing bites and notice teeth marks on the bottem of you bait it might be time to add a hook to the bottem. I believe it is always best to use the smallest and least amount of hooks you can get away with.
