does any one know of any treble hooks and split rings for bass tackle that absolutely will not rust? not sure if there is such a thing but man it really sucks when a 25 dollar lure gets all rusty x(. let me know if you can, thanks!

You can get stainless steel hooks and rings from many tackle shops that carry saltwater gear. Bad thing about it though, if a fish takes your lure, the hooks will not rust out and can sometimes kill the fish if it can't shake the lure. Just a thought.

I don't know if there's any hardware that will never rust. Go striper fishing off the beach at Pacifica in the summer time for a few trips and most everything winds up getting rusty :) Steel hardware is good though.

A good way I've found to keep it from spreading / getting worse is to spray WD-40 on everything, then wipe clean with paper towels. Then empty out your tackle box, pull the dividers, and spray that all down with WD-40 as well

Another great tip I have found is those little packs of sodium silica that come with many products are to absorb moisture. I throw a couple of these in my tackle boxes and never have to deal with rust.

I use some baits in fresh and salt along with some reels. I always rinse with freshwater and let dry then spray on some corrosion-x.
Never any corrosion. This stuff is a must if you go both ways..
