1419, The Buzz Hammer

My sponsor Big Hammer has a new bait out. It's actually been out for a little while now... and it's called the Buzz Hammer. What it is basically is a Hammerhead leadhead molded on the wire of a buzzbait with a matching 3" tail. They're pretty trick and they look great in the water. The 3" Hammer tail will kick at any speed and they track very nicely. You can check them out at:

Thanks for posting this Rob!

I finally got back to the Brandywine River in Pennsylvania/Delaware to use the Buzz Hammer. This river is where I came up with the idea of ripping the skirt off a buzzbait and putting a swimbait on instead. Last year we went to Nag's Head so it's been two years. This is the first time I've been able to fish with a true Buzz Hammer and not the "Frankenstein" prototypes I've been using for several years. Needless to say it worked great because the prototypes always worked great. But, the one thing I noticed was that I missed a lot fewer fish than I used to. I'm pretty sure it's because of the Ultra-Point hook the Buzz Hammer's are made with. The buzzbait body I used to use had a piece of junk for a hook. That Ultra-Point really sticks and holds.
