Man, I can't believe no one has been talking about the huddlebug online? Did y'all miss the boat or what :)

Here's a few pics of the bait. It's on the small side but the realism is phenomenal. It's basically a mold of a real crawdad. More info on the huddleston site

I got some two years ago before Ken stoped making them and I had great results. My biggest fish on the bug so far is 11 pounds.
I heard the new version is painted unlike the O.G. These are great baits.

Rigging suggestions?

Good question...

It matches up well with a darterhead or a small football head. The body is solid in the tail so it's easy to rig it unlike a hollow body mad man, yum craw, etc. You could also use a small ewg and texas rig although I'm not sure that the bait would ride right side up with a hook in it like that. The bait is small enough you could just nose hook the butt of it and drop shot it too. Ken hinted that he has a hook rig in mind but no word yet on that.

The baits seem to be pretty durable from what I've seen so far so at least you're not tearing up $1 something per fish like with the big senkos.

I've been Texas rigging them and flippin' but the shape of the bait definetely isn't condusive to that set up... it rides up and gets in the way of a positive hookset. I'm looking for a different way to right them right now.

No reason to be talking about them rob :+ They have been up on the huddleston webpage for a long time now, certainly a cool littl bait and very realistic :7
