I have some new stuff I've been testing for a long while now and want to show it to you guys first before it's available at the Bass-a-Thon and Tackle Warehouse in early November.

This one is called the "Live Trout"
http://www.calfishing.com/images/lures/trout_plugs/live_trout.jpg

This is the hardbait version of the Live Trout
http://www.calfishing.com/images/lures/generic_trout/live_trout_hardbait.jpg

The baits are both 9 1/2 inches long and will be available in limited quantities at the Anglers Bass-a-Thon show, and we are still working out the details so please be patient. Myself and two others have been fishing prototypes of these baits for about a year. The swimming action is unmatched and I believe even the average fisherman will be able to catch some really huge bass, stripers, trout and muskies once they become available. Smaller sizes are down the road. Look for photos of other new baits to be posted next week. Feel free to "rate the bait" as all input is appreciated. Thank you.

Dang Jerry, they both look AWESOME... more money that I get to spend on swimbaits, you and Mike Shaw are making me go broke... One question on the hardbait. It looks like the tail is soft plastic, would those be easy/cheap to replace if/when they get torn off? I was hoping that a generic trout would come out that had a slammer like tail but this looks even better. I will definately be picking one up... WHATEVER the cost....

Those things look awesome, is there any way you can possibly post a video of your lures in action?

Oh man Jerry that is so awesome.
Are you still working with Whitmer or is it just you now?

I hope I am first in line to get a couple of your baits and I hope I have enough money for them as well.
Thanks. Steve.

These two look sweet! Since you asked for rating/input, here goes: Could the soft bait have more but SMALLER cuts, like a Megabait Charlie, to give it a more snaky wiggle without having clunky/lumpy wedge cuts? Perhaps different bill angles to make a diver and a surface waker? Since I've had baits like this torn in half at the wedge, would a few loops of dacron running the length of the bait hold it all together better, without ruining the action? Just my $.02.
Tight lines,
Wade

Jerry,

That bait looks kick ass. Keep on posting 'em here, those pictures.
Got any shots taken broadside in natural light without the flash unit?

Just wanted to let you know that those Rats and Mice are just amazing. Everyone that sees them just comments on how lifelike they look and swim... Can you say 20 pound brown trout or what?

I think this cold snap and rain this week is going to turn things on for the stripers down here. Time to try one of those new dead sticks and one of these and show us rookies how it's done. Don't forget to smile for the camera, fishing is fun!
