2709, Stubby Steve's fishing lure
Posted by Stubby Steves, Wed Aug-05-09 07:54 AM
Hello! I'd like to introduce you to our new lure. We've only been selling it since Feb. It is an EXACT replica of a piece of fish food. (looks, smells, floats, and tastes just like it!) It stays on the hook unbelievably well.... today, we were told someone caught over 51 fish with just one piece!!!

It's great for fly fishing. Alot of fishermen are putting it on their hard lure for a chum trail that can't be beat! We can't wait to hear how it works with salmon!

*it's not just for fish who have been exposed to fish food... the odor attracts many, many species of fish!

Hello! We have 20 pieces in each pack for $4.99. You really CAN fish all day with just a few pieces! We have them "buy 5 and get 1 pack free" also.

Everyone tells us that California is a huge state for fishing! We're in Virginia so it's taking a little while for "word-of-mouth" to get to you guys!

I told a friend about them. He lives in South Carolina. Maybe he can test them for all of us that want to give them a try to let us know how they work.

Those things will slay around my house, huge warmouth would probably inhale those things.

Stubby Steve...

We all here take Rob's opinion very seriously as he is well accomplished. Would you consider sending him some to review for us?

Yes, absolutely! Let me know how to get them to ya! I'll get them out first thing tomorrow!

That's a big part of us, too. We would MUCH rather have someone else talk about how good our lure us than have us doing it!

Fish we have caught so far:
Trout, catfish, hybrid-stripers, small-mouth and large-mouth bass, bluegill, other panfish, redeye, carp, crappie (the crappieusa team is going bonkers over us!), seatrout, baramundi (that's a cool story I'll tell)....

I'm trying to remember more....;)

Oh, and I hate to be stupid.... what are "warmouth"?

And, I lost my manners... Hello, My name is Stacy. I'm Stubby Steve's "right-hand" woman. I designed our website and would personally like to invite all of you to visit!

www.stubbysteve.com

I love to fly fish (mainly in a pond, well-stocked with trout and hybrid stripers)..... I'm a "brat" when fishing... I have someone knot the hook, put the bait on, get the fish off, etc. All I do is reel the suckers in!!!! (That's the fun part anyway ;) )

Nice meeting you guys!

Hi Stacy, I'm jeremy.

A warmouth is a panfish type fish that has a mouth like a bass kind of. You can lip them. They are agressive and im sure they would bite your product.

That'd be awesome. It's a great idea and makes sense to me. The fact that it will stay on the hook will increase your hook up ratio. Plus, we all know that even though it seems silly, those lil pellets get bit better than we like to think. Should I send you my address? I'll give them a try and send you some pics as I'm on the water alot usually.

Yes, Jeremy, please give me your address. I'd love for you to try it, especially if you like taking photos! I'll get it right out to you tomorrow! I'm trying to figure out a good way to add lots of photos to the website easily. I do everything the difficult way...

Has any of you been a tester for North American Fishing Magazine? We are sending out samples the middle of the month for testing. I had to put 625 boxes together.... picture an oragami box.... 625 of them!!! We're just so excited for people to try this. If you get anywhere near the results that we've gotten, we'll be happy!

I really aught to check the other message boards more often around this site. Looks like I am may be a little too late to get on the free sample boat. Luckily I fish with Jeremyfisher occasionally. Hopefully he will share them with me if we go out.

Do you guys make a weedless rig?

Stubby Steve, or anybody for that matter, you got any good ideas to make it weedless? Here on the Ca Delta I fish a lot of heavy seaweed and trees underwater.

I'll make sure Jermey gets enough to share! Don't know anything to help ya with the other question. I'm sure someone will jump on it, though!

We just got back from the iCast fishing show last month... you guys are gonna LOVE the new goodies that are coming out! Of course, I think our lure is the best.... go figure!

Good evening gentlemen! I thought this might interest you! Gordon McHenry, a California sports writer/fisherman, wrote this article about us yesterday! We were excited and pleased to find out about it!

(I hope it's ok to include links on the forum)

Happy fishing!

Hello again Gentlemen! Have any of you I sent samples to tried the lure, yet? I've been fishing! Caught an almost 6lb hybrid-striper on a fly rod! I thought I'd never get him in!!!

We sent our lure to testers in the North American Fishing Club last month. Finally got our first testimonial from someone and I wanted to share it with you!

the email reads: "I recently was a field tester for the North American Fishing Club and received your product to test and I would like to share my results with you.

I got a chance to try your product on both the Mississippi River and a private lake and got the same results on both. This product not only works extremely well but lasted even in the fast current of the Mississippi. First I was using a worm, then a jig head and twister tail and crank baits and wasn't doing very well then I tried Stubby Steve's pellets. I used it on bare hooks, tipped a jig head and twister tail with it and used it on a crank baits and I was catching fish on almost every retrieve. Not only did your product perform well but it stayed on the hook and outlasted everything I have used in the past.

I caught small mouth and large mouth bass, stripers, catfish, and bluegill. I then decided to try for some trout, knowing warm weather often doesn't produce the bite as it does in early spring or late fall but I got my limit in a short time.

You do have a great product and I hope to be getting some more soon. Thank you for allowing me to test your product, I only wish I had more to test."

Truly Grateful,
Mike Daniels
Dubuque, Iowa

... I thought that was a great first testimonial from one of the testers!

Happy fishing!
Stacy :)
