I haven't used super glue on the knots, no. I go about 5 wraps in either direction for 25lb test on my blood knots. I cinch them very tightly, first from the main lines, then from the tag ends. I trim them about 1/16 of an inch once they are fully cinched down. I can cast like this no problem and reel it through the guides. I've been using the leaders so much, I've gotten used to casting with about the length of the leader coming off the tip of the rod.

What I find using the leaders and casting like this is that I don't have to retie nearly as often. If you're casting baits like huddlestons, optimums, or stocker trout, and espeically if you cast those baits repeatedly with only a foot or so of line off the tip of the rod when you start the cast, those baits are so heavy they can weaken your line right above the knot on regular mono. That's usually what happens when you hear guys talking about casting off their baits. The florocarbon doesn't seem to weaken like this and by casting with 2 to 3 feet of line off the tip of your rod in sort of a lob cast motion, you don't weaken the line.

It's stupid little stuff like this that takes a long time to realize is happening and it's this kind of stuff that will ultimately burn you on a big fish. You'll have everything all sweet, but you'll be casting for an hour or two and your line gets weak in the last 6" and then you hook the biggest fish you've ever seen and snap - seeya.
