Yeah, that swim action is pretty sick. I think they're taking pre-orders on the TW website. They range from $18-$22 depending on the size. Just curious which sink ratio was the one used in the video.

Has anyone received their Platinums from Castaicsoftbait? Believe they were going to be shipping on 11-15. Curious as to what everyone thinks of them.

I'm not sure if they are all that way or not. The 10" looked a little better than the 8" that I got but not sure how it swims. Maybe I'll get my hands on one and post again. But I am definately not happy with the one that I have.

I got my Platinums delivered this morning...an 8 inch and a 6 inch, both slow sinking. I went down to the boat ramp this evening to test drive them.
8 inch - I installed a #2 owner stinger. The hook holder magnets are pretty interesting. All my casts had the hooks held UP, I did not try to hang the belly hook to see if the action was different. Also did not throw the bait without the stinger. The bait had to be retrieved fairly fast to get the swimming action. You cant fish it as slow as a Hudd and keep the tail kicking. The bait will sink horizontally like a Hudd (rof5). I liked the action fishing more like a jerk bait...twitch pause, etc. The bait would almost do a 360. I'm thinking that the stinger might have impeded the swimming action some.
6 inch - Thought this bait performed better than the 8 inch bait. It swam at slower speed, and the twitch retrieve was pretty good.

I was throwing the bait in an area with alot of milfoil, so i was picking grass off the bait on almost every cast.

The bait still looks like a lure, while the Hudd looks like a trout.

I went and threw both the 8 and 10 inch models a couple weeks ago and was surprized how well the magnet held the stinger hook I had installed. I didnt have a problem with a slow retrieve. However I will admit I couldnt fish it as slow as a hudd. I had a number of followers but as usuall no takers. Still need the weather to co-operate. All in all I think Jason has a great swimbait and I am sure that there will be a ton of fish caught. The nice thing is that they are reasonably priced for what you get
