Well, Jerry gave me the OK to let you guys see what he has been working on. There has been talk about these baits on this, and other forums. Now you get to see them. The tail on these baits are like no other, you have got to see them in the water. I was up at Jerry's house and we went to the creek to test baits and he cast one of the hardbaits into some slack water and set the rod down. The bait was swimming on its own with next to no current. Then we went to a pool to see what it would do in still water, the same thing. You have got to see this thing. Jerry and I have been fishing these baits for a while and we have caught LM bass over 12lb. and stripers over 28lb. and not even in prime season. Tetsuya Nakamura has been fishing it in Japan since July.
This bait will come in several models. floating no lip, slow sinking no lip, sinking no lip, floating w/ lip, slow sink w/ lip, sinking w/ lip, bottom bouncing, slow sinking rubber, bottom bouncing rubber and in sizes 6", 8", 10" The main bait is the 8" and the hardbait will sell for $75.00 and the soft for $19.00, yes $19.00. Jerry showed the baits and about a 15 second video to a few people at the ICAST show in Vegas and one SoCal tackle shop bought 600 on the spot. The first place the baits will be sold is at the Bass-a-thon at Anglers Marine on Nov. 12th & 13th after that tackle stores better order quick, or they might not get them this season. Jerry will be on the tank giving seminars at the Bass-a-thon, so bring a pad and pencil. I will be there trying to keep him from giving up to much info.
Also at the Bass-a-thon I will be selling Jerry's signature swimbait rod that we have been working on. It is built on a prototype Graphite USA/Hastings Rod Mfg. blank we had made and has titanium fuji guides that are Roberts wrap/acid wrap/spiral wrap with color burl cork and EVA. See you at the Bass-a-thon!

very cool, thanks for taking the time to show the pics. The tail design on the hardbait is pretty cool. Sometimes the best solutions are the simplest ones. I'm anxious to see them in the water :)

Those look nice... Maybe I should plan a trip down the the Bass-a-Thon.
My one question is how are the actions of the lipped vs. non-lipped baits different?

Erik, The lipped bait has a labored choppy swimming action like a wounded trout. the non-lip is "ALL TROUT" very fluid motion. The non lipped Raptor is the slowest swimming swimbait I have ever seen. It will swim when you are barely turning the handle and you can grind it as fast as you can. All I can say is BASS-A-THON!

WOW!!! They could look more realistic tough. If you painted the hooks with invisible paint! }(

For real though the Raptors are awesome!!! Jerry is the MAN! BTW nice rods also!

Those baits look incredible. I have been fishing with the triple trout for about a year and have had great success with it. This Raptor looks to be an even better bait. I cant wait to get some. Those rods also look very interesting. Any idea how much the rods will cost at the bass-a-thon?

Sorry, Jerry said some things on the tape that would not be ok to air. It went something like " look at that thing it swims like a !@#$%ing trout"
If you can go to the Bass-a-thon on Sunday at Anglers Marine, Jerry will be on the tank giving up the info. If not I will post something soon.
