1426, To everyone who just graduated.

I was reminded when I read Brian's recent post on the FW Board
that there's probably quite a few recent grads hanging around this site. Congrats to you all.

As someone who didn't know if they'd be allowed to walk, I showed up for my HS graduation wondering how the day would end. I proceeded to fail 24 units in my first year at college. Took a long break and tried again. After getting my 24 units of F's wiped off my record, I got my AA w/ a 3.2 avg. My received BA w/ a 3.85 avg., and my MFA w/ a 3.95. I know how much work it is to finish school, no matter what level. So, if you got your Diploma, a degree, even your GED...Congratulations and keep up the hard work. Sometimes it feels like it's time to quit. Don't, it will get easier with time if you work at it.

Every day I realize a bit more just how much having a good education helps in life. Who would've figured my parents were right?

Congrats again to all you recent grads,
Amished
