He will certainly be missed! I know before my game tommorrow I will have my own little prayer for Chick on the court, I know thats probably be where he would get the message! :)

On a brighter side, now Stu shoudl be the broadcaster for the next few seasons, and personally Stu is a great broadcaster, one of my favorites. Just as long as I don't see anymore of that Bill walton, is he the worst broadcaster or what? He says stuff about the game that no one cares about, or says stuff about a game that is just totally wrong!!!!

I fullheartedly agree with you Jason, 100%. Stu is a very capable and should be allowed to follow in the footsteps of his legendary mentor and predecesser. Chick would insist on it! As for that bumbling idiot, Bill Walton, I am almost ashamed to acknowledge him as part of the great "Bruin Nation". The "almost" coming in to play because he was one of the greatest "players" ever and wore a UCLA uniform and he lead my beloved Bruins to three national titles. But it stops there! I have never, in all my life, heard anyone so ignorant and totally oblivious of his own stupidity when calling basketball games or any sporting event. The man trips over his own words and if not for the fact that he does "clipper" games, which is just as bad as doing any "trojan" broadcasts, I'd be bothered by the goofball.

The monumental spirit of Chick Hearn is too great and awe inspiring for the Laker execs to let someone as assinine as Bill Walton make a mockery of that "hellowed microphone"!
