Just wondering how many people use this feature.

Poll question: Do you use the Inbox feature on the forum to send messages to other people on the forum?

But it used to show a flag or something and let you know when you have a message,but i have not seen that since the new forum was setup.

Does it still work that way maybe i have'nt noticed it?

Don't know about that little icon. Send me a private message to test it and we'll see what's the deal.

One thing you can do is go into User Menu -> Edit your Preference and look for the option that says:

Notify via email when you receive a private message?

If you set that to yes, it'll send you an email when someone sends you a private message. Kinda lame, but at least that way you know.

Yes, you can use the forum kind of like your own little hotmail email address. Go to user Menu, and click on Inbox on the menu on the left.

I did test to see if I get the little notification that I got an email, and it doesn't seem to be working. Will have to look into that some.

I am moving the whole site to a new server pretty soon, and the newer version of mySQL on that box may remedy some of these minor bugs. There's also a new release of the forum with some bug fixes coming out soon, so I'll get that on there too.

Oky, found out the lack of notification is a bug. Will be fixed in release 1.1 of this software. Hopefully a few weeks.

Yep,sure do.Its pertty cool like a private little e mail.It was easyer to know when you had a new message with the old system.I would like it to stay.jmo,its convienient but not nessasary so its all gravy eather way.Tight lines and good vibes!!!!

...once you get the bugs out explain it in laymens terms and I might use it.
