339, Let's have a barbecue...
Posted by brian, Wed Jan-24-01 08:39 PM
..or something. I think before each season we should have a get together of all the folks on the site. Anybody interested? Maybe if we can find a rainless weekend someday... I've got the new fishing room at my place with the hibachi on the deck and stuff, it would be perfect. Great party place too, I mean, uh... Anybody up for it? I'm sick of knowing names and not faces.

I'd love to if it isn't until mid Feb. I seem to be way too busy for a few weeks.

Sounds like a good idea. I guess cooking out and talking about fishing might appeal to the group on this site...

sounds good brian. we will need another hibachi and much more food in the fridge. we could also have people make "donations" to the fishing room and the picture board.

Daniel,
I've got a total of three hibachis, we could haul all of em up there for the day. I think contributions to the picture board are definitely in order.

I'm in - sounds like a good idea. I definitely say everyone bring a contribution from their own freezer. I still have some halibut, whitefish, and assorted rockfish!

No worries on the food. If folks want to bring fish from their freezers that's fine, if you don't have any fish or whatever, just bring some burgers or hot dogs, and we'll have a bunch of hot dogs and stuff over here. So, is like the second week of Feb. ok with everybody?

Where exactly in SB, as in driving directions from the San Jose area. Furthermore, if I get to go does anyone want to carpool and or wet a line when we get there. Thanks in advance.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-01-01 AT 11:12 AM (PST)

a small trip in the same weekend as the bar-b-Q sounds like a great idea. a 1/2 day or something?

...Or let the "Locals" show us some hot spots, MAYBE even get something fresh for the BBQ.
Brian, What does a half-day cost in your neck of the woods, and could we get a group break.(I'm low on funds and might not have my first paycheck from the job I'm starting at on Monday.)
Of course that means we might be a tad odiferous(fish/bait smelly) for the party.

Wade,
$26 for the half day I believe. There is, however a certain somebody who can update a certain two for one coupon on a certain website...hint hint... Of course there's food and JP and sacks to consider also.
