4515, Heading back to SLO town
Posted by swimbait, Thu May-03-07 03:30 PM
Well, it's official. Summer and I are packing up at the end of the month and moving to San Luis Obispo. I'm going back to school to get my MBA. I don't know how much fishing I'll be able to do in the next year but I have heard that my old friends at Santa Margarita lake have gotten a lot bigger on average since 2000 :) It'll be fun to go back and check it out. As far as calfishing.com goes, I hope it will only continue to grow and believe me, there are many new things, long in the works, that I hope to get done with the site in the coming year.

The real reason I'm posing this is to put out the word that we're looking for a place to rent. We're looking for a 2 bedroom 1 bath with at least a 1 car garage for the boat. Something within 15 miles of SLO and with a lease to run from the end of May '07 through July or August '08. We've been looking of course but if anyone out there knows of anything I'd love to hear about it. You can reach me, as always, via the contact form:

Totally :) I am hard to miss... My boat has big red Big Hammer stickers plastered on the sides. I hope to be out there this summer a few times at least.

If anyone in the bay area would like four 6" koi, two glass catfish, and a zebra danio, I am looking for a home for them. Seems like no pet stores will take back fish these days and I don't know what to do with them.

What!? Rob (swimbait master) is moving back down this way!! Congrats on the decision to go back to school Rob, seems like having a Masters now is the norm. I am sure there is places around SLO for rent, don't know if you really get your moneys worth for them though, except for saving some gas money. If you see anything in Santa Margarita you should check it out, the little town has been growing...and its still close to school and fishing :-)

I have been out at Margarita a lot this year and will continue to be this summer, It would be cool to get out and fish with you man, maybe get the kickboats out there one day for a Turkey shoot?

You missed a good one at the Bass-n-Tubes Clear Lake Open this past weekend ....something like 44 lbs to win, day one it took almost 28 lbs...The wind sucked though, but I still caught a bunch of those CL footballs!

Let me know when you get out to Margarita....
