462, To Ho, or not to Ho? Posted by , Wed Mar-07-01 08:52 PM
To anyone who tried to meet me at the show, sorry. I had a meeting at 2:00, that I thought was at 10:30. Needles to say I got to school too early, and left too late.
So, how about a hoing list from the show? I'll start w/ mine.
$30 in rubber. No deals, just colors we're out of at the shop, or never carry.
2 Graftec 80XL blanks, $30 a piece, now that was a deal. Got em at Bob? Sands' booth. Looks like they have a bunch. The bin was almost clean of 80XLs when I got #1, came back for #2 and the bin was full. My freind got a Calstar 700M there too. The price was o.k., but one of the guys kinda freaked when I held the tip so he could pull on it. The guy yelled out at us to watch out. For what I don't know.
What about the rest of you? Brian did the boat drain your funds or were you just not in a buying mood?

Ed, Oh, I had a special reserve for the show... I had already dumped some stuff in the car when I met up with you. I got myself a new float tube. Caddis Proline- $70. That was a steal. They're usually like $160. Also got an accurate narrow frame and spool, for normal price, but I needed em anyway, so might as well cut down on shipping. Plus I hear the accurate parts are gettin harder and harder to come by nowadays... I also got a 7" osprey talon swimbait for use at Margarita this weekend. And, a couple tee shirts. It's midnight thirty and I'm considering going to the gas station to fill up my new float tube, this is out of control. -Brian

On saturday I got some big hammer plastics. I also got some shirts from Iron Man, CalStar, and Kicker Jigs. I saw the graftec blanks also. The 90xl was $40 but i needed the 90m or 90h which they werent selling. All in all it was pretty fun, even though my budget was $55.
