Let us know what you're fishing out of and that will help.

The salmon are not really in the system yet. If you go to the American River in late July or August they should be in. Be sure to check the regulations. On the Sac it is much easier by boat (guides are a good way to go to get your feet wet).

Bass fishing is turning on everywhere. Folsom should be getting better, Oroville should be heating up along with many of the other Motherlode lakes around. If you want a nice combo of trout and bass, I would head to Pardee. Sweet little lake. Oh, Rancho Seco could be a good bet for bass as well. Like I said, the bite is taking off and if you hit the delta in 2 weeks, it should be going bonkers by then.

Good luck and let us know some reports!
