i'm going to be heading up to Virgina Lakes for a couple of weeks at the beginning of August. i go up there every year but normally a couple of months earlier. i will be fly fishing Hot Creek a few times for sure and was wondering if anybody has any insight into what kind of patterns might be good at that time of year. i tie my own flies so i was hoping to be well prepared.

on another avenue i plan to do some float tubing (first time in fresh water actually) up at the lakes and i was also wondering what kind of patterns would be useful there as well. thanks for any help you can provide.
