hey bassnet i fish probably some of the same "pits" you do and today i stopped by probably one of the nastier ones and saw what i think was a trout swimming around. Anyways so i stop by to see if any fished had been washed down....This river/drainage/sewer only had about 3 bass in it and they were all staying pretty still while this other fish was just racing around super fast. It was skinnier and had black tipped fins. So i put its appearance and behavior together and thought it must be a rainbow. The only reason i couldn't tell for sure was because i was looking down from like 20 feet above them. you might know where i was, is this a rare thing to have a trout in this water down in OC? I will for sure be out there tomorrow with the fly rod trying to maybe get this thing to take a dry.
