I have recently started fishing for flatheads on the colorado river...what a blast!!!! But there has to be a way to hook the bait in the head so they can still swim and dont die too quickly. I had what I guess would be a big one playing with a 12" largemouth I was using for bait..It was just pulling the scales off this thing for 3 stinkin hours I wanted to scream....It finally took the bait and broke my pole grrrrrrrr. If anyone knows of a way to hook the bait in the head as well as the tail so they still swim and act lively please let me know.
thanks

As far as I know, Largemouth Bass are illegal to use for bait anywhere on the Colorado! Especially in the sections that hold Flatheads! I know they are illegal to use in CA, NV, and AZ, atleast as of last year. PLEASE Check your regulations and try not to post about illegal fishing practices you may or may not have performed.

(LEGAL) Tight lines,
Wade
