I dont doubt anything
people will allways put any fish to put in another lake or stream.
BUTT what are the natural trout in that stream? I love that area and live right neat there. I fish it all the time.

Is it open now??? I know (the area I speak of) was closed because of that STUPID frog (endangered toad). It was supposed to open this year, but you know the closures never reopen when expected. A lot of small REAL natural trout. No planters! The German browns may have been planted some time ago. Oh yeah, at this time it must be closed because the Angeles Forest is closed. But, why did they plant at the Little Rock Reservoir this week if it is supposed to be closed??? I don't know... please help. >>> P.S. - Rainbows are the natural trout there.

Actually there are several creeks which hold good populations of browns in our local mountains. I'm not too familar with Rock Creek but the possibility of catching a brown in So Cal creeks is better then most would expect. Not much size to the fish but at least they are there. It's also possible that the DFG could have put some in to the Creek to see if they would establish a population seeing as they have done well in other waters similar to rock creek. I remember back in the day Silverwood was place in So Cal known for holding some nice browns. The biggest one I had ever seen caught there was about 5lbs(late 70's). Once the stripers took hold the browns disapeared and the stripers got big.

The "creek" I am speaking of, is the stream running into Little Rock reservior (near Palmdale, CA). Rock Creek is in the Sierras (different). Near by is also Big Rock creek (another place).

I knew you were not refering to Rock Creek up in the Mammoth/Bishop area but just for the record there's browns in there too. When I mentioned local creeks I actually meant local as in San Bernadino and Los Angeles counties.
