Does anyone have any Info on either Pardee or Camanche Lake?
Which would you rather fish and what should I expect? Any
tips would be usefull.
Thanks

What type of fish are you going after? Are you fishing from shore or a boat?

I will be fishing from a boat. Actually I will be fishing
Amador for a day or two and was thinking about hitting up
Pardee or Camanche. Any tips on these lakes would help a
great deal. Thanks

I would go to Pardee. It is a gin clear lake that cateres to trout and Kokenee fisherman but it is full of smallmouth and largmouth bass. I have done well up there on topwaters (Pop-Rs and Spooks) as well as drop shotting and splitshotting plastic worms in browns and greens. Crankbait and Jigs will also work. I can not really give many areas to go as I usally fish from a float tube and there is a limited amount of area that they allow tubers. The other nice thing about Pardee is that there will be no water skiers or jet skiers as they are not allowed on the lake.

Comanche has more visable cover to fish (trees) and has some quality Largmouth but you will catch mostly spotted bass.

I have to agree with sacto, Pardee is a fun lake to fish. The smallies are a blast cause you can see them come from 15-25ft at times to hit a top water. I would run either all the pay to the log jam at the end of the channel arm or about 1/2 the way up the south arm on the right hand side and throw a bunch of top water shad color baits in the morn and eve. then drag some worms once it heats up.

be sure to post a report
