14469, Why I shop there...

CJ's gonna spank me for the props but when I shop for bass gear it's at Bass World West. Why, because they treat you with respect. I always get great service and they have most, if not all, I need. I was just there the other day and Chris spent time sharing some tips on modifying spinnerbaits with me. That was invaluable. Unlike another shop that sells bass tackle and boats locally. There, I always get sized up as I come through the door as if I am cool enough to warrant even getting a "hello" or not. I have never measured up I guess. Other places I dig are The Longfin in Orange (my stop for saltwater stuff as well as some freshwater items)--I'm always greeted there if not ribbed a little and get good advice and the stuff I need. Tackle Warehouse has always filled my online orders accurately and timely when I've used them. You might check out these stores if you haven't already.

I have to agree with you on Bass World West. They almost always have what you need and the information that they provide is excellent. The staff is great and they always have the answers for you. They always seem to have the latest and greatest baits and they stay on top of it. Keep up the good work guys!

I hear ya, I wouldnt go to that other place (AA) unless I ready need to. I'll the one thing I need then travel further south to Bass World West to buy the rest of my stuff. Chris is not afraid to offer any advise or helpful hints.
Here's my AA story. A buddy was thinking of buying a boat there. The kissed his ass until they had his money. A week later he had boat problems. They wouldnt give him the time of day. They told him to make an appointment, that takes about two weeks. I called my friend Don Iovino about this. The next day AA was on the phone with my buddy kissing his behind. Your right if your someone AA will talk to you, but if your average guy off the street looking for a few helpful fishing hints they clam up.
This is not the first time this has happened. I took my boat there twice and got the cold shoulder. But when I told them I wanted to buy a new boat, they loved me. Every time I walked in the store they greated me by my first name. When I didnt buy a boat from them, they wouldnt even look my way. Those dudes SUCK!

Alright David, I'm blushing! Thanks for the kind words. The customer service aspect of our business is the most important thing we do. To be honest, I just really enjoy my job and want all my customers(friends) to know how much I appreciate their business. Lots of places sell tackle, so we have to earn business rather than just expect it. Tsunami was a big part of that atmosphere when he was with us as well as Doubletrouble and Bryan L. We've been really lucky at having good guys to work with us. Thanks again Dave.

BV- call me when you can, Thanks.

You know, your gonna laugh when you read this, but check this out. My dad is not a bass fisherman, he likes to fish, but not out here really. He just helps me rig everything on my boat and he is my repair man , and if you own a boat, that is worth it's weight in gold. My dad knows nothing about AA, he had never been there, nor did he know what I knew and have experienced. Well, we were rigging the boat and needed some parts for my Evinrude. We asked the man in charge there and he wanted to know what kind of boat it was. We told him and he said they came with Mercs and we said yes but we had rigged it with Evinrude. He said that none of the instruments on the dash would work with the Evinrude as they are Merc and the wiring harness was Evinrude. Well, my dad the engineer that he is, explained that everything works and that we just needed some stuff for the Evinrude. This guy then proceeds to tell us that my boat will be in his shop for repairs due to our negligence and error. So my dad, who is normally a nice guy and very quiet, politely told him to stick it where the sun doesn't shine. So we walk out of there and my dad is like " you have got to be kidding me, are they for real " ? I then informed my dad about my past treaments there along with others. They just don't have people skills there. Plain and simple. What keeps me spending my money at BWW is I am treated like a human being. I am not a pro, heck I don't even compete, but I am treated with respect and I get honest information, which to me is priceless.
