I was up in SLO county last weekend searching for killer waves and warm water (ha)! No really, I was up there for a few friends' graduation and because I wanted to see the Ranger boat I'm buying from my friend Dan Frazier...

The boat is sick! We went out to Lopez, and it was slow at the start. We fished outside stuff with worms...Dan had a smallie, and another better largemouth...Dan is a worm guy! We fished inside the Marina arm, and I got close enough to the shore to throw a Sumo frog on the grass...got one blow-up and no fish! We continued under the bridge working frogs. I picked up a RattleTrap and proceeded to whack 'em. Nothing big, but lots of numbers. Tons of fish back there eating bait. You'd have to catch 10 fish to get one that might be a keeper...still, it was fun. I think there must be some better fish back there...

It was getting late and the wind was dying down, so we decided to go home! You can't fish Lopez without gale cold winds! You wouldn't know what to throw or do!!! Ha. It was a nice day, and I was glad to be back on the Central Coast.

That Ranger is a freaking rocket! I've never been in a faster Ranger. Now, I need to finalize the deal and get possesion of that boat!
