I would think that any knot which would work with plastic or carbon coated wire should work on the leadcore.

Try the Centauri Knot (do a Google search) - this works great with plastic or carbon coated wire - or what about crimping with the smallest Momoi or Jinkai crimps and a proper crimping tool ("cup to cup" and not the usual and cheap "point to cup" tool type)?
