Got to the west ramp gate at about 6:20 & they weren't open, but the exit gate was open due to a trash truck getting trash, so I went on in.
Fished 1st. point to the left. Didn't see much for first 1/2 hr., then a couple boils. Made a cast, too short. Reeled in fast & made another cast, good one this time, crank, crank, BAM! I'm on. Pulled some drag twice & came unbuttoned, dang.
About 20 min. later, I made a blind cast, BAM!, didn't feel the same.
Got it in, about a 4 lb. largemouth.
Fun morning. They are supposed to plant this week, but I don't know which day.

Released unharmed.
