3891, Hoing a bit...

Two days in a row I made by Bass World West to pick up some Senkos. Really shouldn't have spent the money, but I rarely make it over there these days. I can't say enough good things about that place. Everything from the great sales staff, to the selection of everything you might want. I just wish they'd put one in down here in Vista. BWW is what a tackle shop should be. Not a bunch of wannabe pros, too hot to talk to a lowly customer, not selling stuff merely to catch the angler. Just plain good product and helpful shared knowledge.

All this in just 20 minutes total (though I could've spent hours poking around). I am in no way affilliated, just a happy customer who forgot what he was missing down in San Diego. And a special thanks to CJ for shooting the sh..t and giving me his opinion on some new baits, even though he was busy and doesn't even sell what I was asking about.

Damn! i thought that i had a far drive...I drive from Torrance to Bass World West maybe 2-3 times a month. I agree 100% about B.W.W., Chris always takes the time to explain either his preferences and or other customers preferences. He is always unbiased in his opinions and will give an angler options not egotistical opinions. I guess all of that tackle practice at that other place made him good!

i would have to agree with all of you. I finally made a trip down there last week from torrance also and was amazed at all the stuff they have. I'm glad i dont' live close to it because they would see all my paychecks. I brought down my 2 year old, who by the way loves fishing, and i think he was in heaven. He especially liked the bass tank and the owner(i don't know his name) put a trout plug in front of the bass and they were going crazy. The other guy who was working there gave my son a bag of plastic worms for free and he could not believe it. I gave him one of my rods (a berkely 5 footer) that he fishes with but he doesn't have any tackle that he calls his own. He was so excited to have his own worms. The expression on his face of priceless. A bunch of great guys over there and all the tackle i need. It's a good drive from torrance but well worth it. My buddy is going there this afternoon to pick up a bunch of stuff so i don't have to drive down there.

Kyle, don't make the same mistake that i made last year! If you have your buddy pick up your tackle for you he'll get your B.W.W. bonus points! B.W.W. gives a cash back percentage check for everything spent (i think it was for over $500) during the course of a year. Inquire about this subject w/Chris, trust me...this is better than the few bucks that you get from Bass Pro Shops for spending big bucks. Make the trip from Torrance, it's worth it!

thanks jeff,
i remember now. They did tell me about it when i was there and i registered. I wasn't even thinking about that when i asked him to get for me. All i know is i was supposed to go fishing today, which didn't happen, and i needed these specific hooks for dropshottin and perris. I'll remember that though.

Thanks Chris, didn't realize I had given you the heads up. Glad I did though, you're a great addition to boards. Managed to catch a couple LM's yesterday on those 6" watermelon/lemon Senko. This was after Steve had mocked me for using such an "ugly" bait. The first was a 5#, the second a 2#. I also had a smallish one on the 4" smoke w/purple flake.
