just finished fishing el do. caught and released 3 fish, average 2 lbs. on t.d. minnow. friend caught 1 fish with a lucky craft. some fish hiding out in the weeds by the "trash can".

thanks for the report on el do. Last year at this time it was wide open on rip baits but all the fish looked like they been caught a hundred times.

Which lake(s) in el do is (are) good for bass?

the back lake can get nuts w/ live crawdads.Lots of bass in the back lake, good size ones too but for the most part I think the toads are in the main lake.Quite a few double digits were caught out of the main lake this spring.

There are actually bass in all four of the lakes in the park; however, as previously mentioned - it seems the bigger fish are in the bigger lake (where trout is stocked) in area 3. You can actually rent a row boat for this lake, though I never have.

I fished yesterday (5/5) for a couple hours in the morning and had one fish on a jig. Threw lots of other stuff, but the only bite came on a jig. Lots of fish cruising and some getting ready to spawn. I was sure this lake was done, but looks like there are some late spawners. Lots and lots of pressure on the two lakes in area 3 as always. Lake is very weedy right now, but the water is pretty clear and back up to normal depths.
