I took my 3 year old daughter to fish trout at LMV. We had a blast. I was fishing minijigs while I set her up with powerbait. I cast over to where I saw a couple boils and I got slammed as soon as it hit the water. The fish felt big but she was not really fighting, I put as much preasure as I could with a 6" Loomis and 2 pound P-line flora and thats not much. At this point the fish realized it was hooked and dogged me straight down. I got her up with steady pressure, and she went straight to the weeds, I slacked off and she started digging. I finally got her up and she was a 4.5 pound bass. What the heck did that bass want with a 1/32 oz minijig. By the way the trout are wide open. Perfect fishing for the kids...
