Hey all I'm new to this forum and am excited about all the posts I've read. Reading various online commentaries about catching halibut from the surf on light tackle and swimbaits has peaked my interest. I haven't tried it yet but am interested in others knowledge and experiences. Does anyone know of any descent spots in the San Diego area for this style of fishing or maybe surf bait fishing for halibut? What works? What doesn't? I've basically mastered grubbing for Perch and want to move onto something a little more challenging and tasty. My regular fishing spot is in front of the Hotel Del Coronado off the surf break jetty (It's phenomenal for perch). :D
