Here you go Mike...
This is taken from the 2002 IGFA records book.
Calico Bass:
4 lb. line class = 7 lb. - 2 oz. 6 lb. line class = 8 lb. - 9 oz. 8 lb. line class = 8 lb. - 2 oz. 12 lb. line class = 10 lb. - 12 oz. 16 lb. line class = 11 lb. - 12 oz. 20 lb. line class = 10 lb. - 4 oz.
The saltwater flyfishing catagory for Calico Bass is wide open. The largest fish in that catagory is 6 lb. - 1 oz. on 16# tippet. The 8# tippet catagory looks the most promising with a fish that only goes 2 lb. - 8 oz. or the 4# tippet catagory with a fish that goes 1 lb. - 9 oz.
Food for thought...
Good luck in your quest! :-)
