Fished on the Native Sun with my bro and his two buddies(first-timers). Boat left with a good 25 guys at around 6:30 p.m. Jim was the skipper. Jesse, Anton, and another guy was working the deck. We had to hit up the bait recievers because we were low on dines' and chovies.

Headed 4-5 miles out and Capt. Jim metered some marks. We had a nice and steady pick. At 9:00 p.m. the sand bass decided to die. We were bit instantly. Even the 2 newbies were slaughering em'. After my bro and i got them to catch fish on their own, we started to fish. It was fish-on on every drop with plastics. My bro hooked a NICE sandie, yelled gaff, and sacked it. About an hour into the bite, we saw bait fish boiling all over. My bro and i grabbed the iron stick, and started chucking for cudas. The cook got 2 nice grade barries. Saw couple of flashes and boils, then my bro is hooked! I came back with a gaff. At first, the fish looked short. He swung the fish over and it's a nice legal barrie. Fowl hooked right on top of the gills. Couple of cast and i was on. brought it to color and the damn thing came unbuttoned! After a while, the skipper decided to pull the anchor and head on home.

Boat got limits. The deckies were cleaning fish all the way home. Capt. Jim was awesome. Got us on the fish. We didn't have to move at all. Got to the landing on-time.
