Met with MarcA and set off to do coversating, relaxing, fishing, and field testing.

Started at Zuniga Jetty to get warmed up and feel out the days conditions. I positioned us right on top if it and threw the blades right down the Jetty. I quickly boated 3 little chunky calicos.

Calico and purpose.

After a while we hit the big water to see if we could find any of those bonnet toes. It wasn’t long till I was worried that my bass rod was gonna break. You haven’t lived till you’ve caught bonito on spinnerbaits.

Bonito and direction.

I was definitely the numbers guy today. Marc was slow to start, but finally gets on the board with a 5lb bonito.

Then Marc takes us to the next level with a white/chartreuse TJW. He pulled this dude up off the bottom.

No big guys for me today, but I needed some decompression time more than I needed a fish. I got what I needed. OI!
