Got in de watta at about 7:00. I threw the castaic swimbait and the lazereye minnow around the bait barge for a while without getting bit. Those #@$%*$! sealions were there again thrashing about and surfacing and causing a ruckus. After about an hour of tossing baits amidst these sealions I was really doubtful that any seabass would venture in here with the pinniped patrol, so I kicked over to the flat where me and Brandon (actually mostly just Brandon...) caught halibut on Saturday to see if I couldn't at least catch myself a halibut. When I got over there I threw around a little bit, but it just looked sooo perfect for seabass, and I kept wondering if the seals had left, and if they did I'd have been missing out, so I kicked back over there after about 10min. of fishing for butts, but the sealions were still there, so I was pissed off and fished until about 8:30 and took off. I think I'll take a couple nights off and let the freakin seals have at it, and I'll give it another shot in a couple days. -Brian
