Yutaka Suganuma and I fished the POETS Annual Bass Tourney Sat. on the Bassomatic. Nice overcast--looked like my shallow prefish pattern was going to work--wrong! That was two weeks ago and the water was then 66. Now it's 70 and there's no shallow water bite. We had no biters until after an hour and a half--panic time. We slid out a little deeper and found a slow to steady pick on an even mix of sandies and calicos. Fish were from 10 to 43 feet, most in the 20-30 something foot range. We ended up catching and releasing over 30 bass, the largest a 6.6# calico by me for a tie for Big Fish honors. I forgot our weight for the tourney's five--13 or 14 something pounds for second place. Almost all fish were on the 5 inch Big Hammers with clear/red, grunion, and keylime working the best. Pro-Cure Calico Cocktail helped as most bites were on the drop. A great day out.

Fongster,
I've been out of town lately. I haven't checked my @home email lately. We definitely need to put our heads together on some things.
I'll check my @home email, and go from there.
Thanks
Matt
