Fished the Harbor tonight from about 5:30 to 9:30pm. Started over by the pier for two short halibut and one lizard fish (the first I have seen in S.B. Harbor) Then headed over to the bait barge to try for the seabass. Caught a few sand bass in the first hour or so, but no seabass. I switched over to the fastrack at about dusk and watched a 15lb? fish follow it up to the tube, suck it in and spit it before I could do thing. It was absolutely beautiful to watch this fish slowly come up on the lure, take in its mouth and just as slowly spit it out and gracefully make its way back out of view. At that point, at least I new the fish were there. A couple of casts later (on a 5" brown and orange FT) I see another nice size seabass follow it up but no bite this time. I quickly cast in the direction the fish was heading and hook him after a crank or two. After a few minutes of being dragged around and beating off mutant pelicans I land a nice legal fish. From there it went pretty wide open with another legal fish, three others that approached the legal mark and one that was about 20". The bite only lasted about 45 minutes or so, but luckily it was a productive 45 minutes.

Good Luck Everybody,

Cory
