LAST EDITED ON Aug-02-01 AT 07:00 AM (PST)

Being a conservationalist minded angler I thought of a seventh amendment to the AB 1673. The reserves (SMRs) are currently written to allow no fishing whatsoever. The biologists on the team seem very interested in the idea of catch and release.

Amendment 7) Requires that SMR's be open to recreational catch and release finfishing with artificial lures only.

If you agree with this along with the rest of the petition copy and paste it into the "type of fishing" box and include it with your letters regarding the AB 1673. This combined with the other amendments will ensure that recreational fisherman will be able to access and fish the entire coast after the MLPA is implemented.

You can't catch tomorrow what you kill today - please practice catch and release.
