Hi Ed, let me try to answer a couple of these:

>Or, is this board acting goofy. The recent posts aren't
>showing views and or responses, even though I myself have
>looked and or posted.

I did put a new version of the forum on recently and the way that the views is updated has changed. It used to be that every time someone viewed a thread, the count for the views was updated. For some reason, the writers of the message board scripts changed it so that the number of views is only updated when a reply is made to the original post. I thought that was kind of lame myself.

As for the number of posts being incorrent, I have not seen this behavior but usually if you post a reply, then go back to the main forum page where it lists all of the threads, the number of replys should be updated. Some browsers, especially AOL, or Netscape through a proxy server, may cache the page when you first visited it and when you go back, it will just show you this cached page. You can fix this by hitting the reload or refresh button. If this is still not working, you can force the entire page to refresh by holding down the shift key and clicking reload or refresh at the same time. This is a browser thing, not a forum thing.

I'm not sure about this one, it does look like you are logged into the site, so I can't see why it's not remembering your setting. It is possible that you don't have cookies enabled for your browser. If you need help checking this, let me know. Any setting you choose on the forum is stored in a cookies.txt file (netscape) or in individual cookie files (internet explorer). If you didn't have cookies enabled, it wouldn't be able to remember your settings. If you don't have cookies enabled I don't think it would be able to remember your log in and password, a feature everyone should use to avoid having to log in every time they come to the forum.

Ed are these emails that you are getting into your inbox of your regular email account? I am not sure how this could be happening really. If you can forward me one of these messages I could probably figure out what all was going on.

Another question, what browser are you using? I haven't tried the forum in older browsers so that could be causing some funky behavior as well. It works fine for me on IE 5.5 and 6.0, Netscape 4.78 for PC and for Solaris, and Netscape 6.x for PC.
