Pete, did she actually catch that fish??? And did she catch it on bait, cause if she did I'm gonna have to smack her! But anyways your sister is pretty cool, i must admit, but i'm surprised that she's your sister! Cool picture.

PS: What she catch it on??

She may have caught it on nightcrawlers (please don't smack her!). It was my fault. She had never really been fishing before and I didn't want her to be skunked. If she didn't catch it on bait she most likely caught it on a whacky-rigged 4 inch Creme Scoundrel. That particular fish was 15 inches and she caught a 13 incher and a bunch of shorts the same day. We went back a few days later and she got a 17 incher on my ultra light rod with 2 lb. test. She hooked it among lots of structure and I was about 10 feet away and snagged so I couldn't help her. I was amazed that she landed it. I have a picture somewhere but it was very blurry and didn't come out too well so I never scanned it.

Brian,

It was 17 inches.

Don't worry I didn't lead her astray. She has fished with me a few times since and it's been artificials all the way - except when she got about a 20 lb. carp on 4 lb. test in Washington D.C. (again with no help from me). We found carp surface feeding so she threw out a piece of bread with hook in it and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz off to the races.

One of the best and funniest trips was when we went tubing down Goose Creek in Virginia. Toward the end of the run I got about a 15 incher on a plastic and while I was un-hooking it the dorsal spine popped my tube and it literally exploded and I was instantly underwater. Kim couldn't stop laughing. One second I was there with a fish the next second I was gone!
