You are correct Pinhead!
The current IGFA(International Game Fish Association) Rod & Reel caught "All Tackle" record was taken June 26, 1999. It was caught by Roger W. Borrell at Santa Rosa Island and weighed 58 lb - 9 oz.
for a picture.
Did I mention that Roger Borrell is a very large man? ;-) LOL!
BTW, the IUSA (spear fishing) record mentioned above is in fact the current record for this particular organization. See for youself:
