Went out on the half-day from 10 to 3 today. Didn't get down there until 9:55 and with 30 people on the boat I was sitting on the bow all day. Excuses excuses :-). We fished some various stones and hard bottom areas sort of East of the armpit. Fishing was pretty tough. Mostly smaller rockfish coming in with a few decent sheepshead and a couple sandbass. Bait caught most of the fish that were caught. I only had two bites all day really and caught them both, a short ling and a pretty decent cabezon about 15" on the big hammer swimbaits. Released the cabezon, it was pretty cool looking. Darn sheepshead beat me out for jackpot the last two trips. It's no fair since they don't hit the plastics :-) Weather was great, calm and no swell to speak of. No current though and the water was a little too blue / clear for the swimbait bite.
