Fished from 6:30 - 11:30pm. It was cold, but not too bad. The tide was off again. Wakes were big. But the fish bit, and they were plump. I finished with 19 legals and 4 shorts, about 7:1 sand to spot. I started off with brush hogs Steve and I poured. These were only yielding shorts and a couple o.k. legals. So, I switched to the 9" grubs. Things got fun quick, and I had my 10 by 8:00. 7 more by 9:30, then 2 more hrs for the last 2 legals, and a short. The best part, only 3 legals under 2#'s. Average fish was about 2.5#, big one was maybe 4#. It felt like I was catching the same fish over and over. They weren't picky about color, but the reds and purples got the quickest bites. Lost a couple bigger fish like last week. Set the hook, lose a few feet of line, a few hard head shakes, then no hook. Overall a very fun night. Even the 2 hr lull at the end turned into a nice quiet break.
